The owner of a landfill must notify the competent authority of the establishment of a landfill or a section of a landfill.

Requirements

The owner of a landfill must not dispose waste in the landfill before an inspection with a positive result has been carried out. She/he must comply with the respective state-of-the-art.

Competent authority

The waste management authority which is locally in charge of the site:

• The Provincial Governor^{German text} [Landeshauptfrau/Landeshauptmann]
• The Provincial Governor may delegate procedures and supervision to the district administrative authority^{German text} [Bezirksverwaltungsbehörde]

No tariffs or duties have to be paid.
